Year-Round Organizing Digital Learning Series
May 12 - June 30, 2020
Just as COVID-19 has upended our society, this pandemic also offers us some new challenges as well as new opportunities as we explore alternatives to face-to-face engagement and recruitment. In an effort to embrace the OPPORTUNITY side of this conundrum, the NEA Centers for Organizing, Office of General Counsel, Great Public Schools, Communications, and Enterprise Data & Information Systems will host a series of webinars from mid-May through June focusing on key organizing tactics (dates and topics below). We are preparing for the possibility of extended social distancing and would like your partnership in exploring these topics. Learn more, here.

NEA 2020 Human and Civil Rights Awards

On April 20th, the NEA Board of Directors took the unprecedented action of transitioning the 2020 Representative Assembly to a virtual meeting and cancelling the Pre-Representative Assembly Meetings and Events due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) across the United States. Unfortunately, this means we will not be convening the 2020 Conference on Racial and Social Justice (CRSJ) nor the Human and Civil Rights Awards.
