Seating Arrangements II

Found in: reading; seating assignments

I find that putting regular chairs in a semicircle around me to teach reading takes away the barrier of a reading table. I arrange my students' desks in small rows close to the front of the room. If I have two reading groups going at the same time, I can work with one at the back of the room, while the others are working independently at their desks. This lessens distractions because both groups are seated back-to-back, and I can still see each group clearly.
